Long-term research data storage

OmniStore is designed for long-term storage of data produced in research studies from any connected modality. The data file storage structure is project-based, and approved users get access only to the projects they are active in. A web interface allows management and export of stored data files.

Worldwide secure access

Users can operate a medical device on site and then access generated files via secure web access from anywhere. No patient data leaves the research site — all files can be pseudonymized for research purposes. The super user at the site controls which files each researcher can access.

Two-factor authentication

Files are accessed via two-factor authentication: the user logs in on the website and receives an SMS with a 6-digit code. Files can be locally downloaded or exported to the DICOM server or an SFTP endpoint. Local files are downloaded as zip-files. The encryption key for patient data is only accessible to the project admin.

Normal users can access approved projects and files with pseudonymized DICOM data. Super users manage projects, add users, and control access from the research site. Project admins hold the encryption key to retrieve original patient identification — the only person who can trace back to the original data.
